Our Aim

Our overall aim is to help our clients to maintain independence, build confidence and reduce social isolation.

To achieve this we provide:

  • A warm, welcoming and safe environment.

  • A range of light exercises, sporting, gardening, art, and music activities, to meet clients’ individual needs and help them to maintain their mobility.

  • Activities and support to build independent living skills, such as cookery, computing and shopping.

  • A breakfast roll and healthy, freshly cooked lunch from the Community Centre's Meals on Wheels team.

  • Support from a neuro-physio, massage therapist and counsellor.

  • The opportunity to engage and socialise with others.

  • Use of our accessible exercise equipment - with qualified  instructors, trained to support those who have brain injuries or who have suffered a stroke.

  • Organised trips, which have included climbing, sailing and weekends away at the Calvert Trust.

  • Support for families and carers.

“My son has  progressed so much since joining this group. He has had so much to deal with and so much to learn again. NeuroActiveUk has built up his confidence enormously and helped with social skills. He has made new friends and looks forward to going every week. Without the staff’s help and compassion my son would have  struggled very much.”
